Ashton Heckathorn

Ashton has called Nashville home since 2010. She’s always connected with God through nature and is passionate about the intersections of faith, ecology, and compassion. She holds a degree in Environmental and Sustainability Sciences from Lipscomb University, earned in 2023.

After graduating from college, Ashton searched for a place to work outdoors, connect with others, and redeem her brokenness. She came to Cul2vate in the summer of 2024 and found all three. In 2025, she completed the cul2vater work training program and joined our staff as Food Processing & Distribution Coordinator. She’s grateful for the space to grow while sharing her talents and expertise

Ashton currently lives in Kingston Springs with her husband, August, and their pets, Ollie and Captain. She enjoys hiking, crafting, reading, babysitting, being cozy, and spending time with her family and friends.
